I was tagged by Cheap But Chic Beauty to do this post and I have finally came around to it.

My answers to the questions:

 

1. Name a beauty routine you barley do.

 

Primer is something that I rarely use. My new Covergirl foundation has it already in it so there is no need for me to apply it.

 

2. Is washing your brushes something that you do regularly?

 

I wash my brushes about once a week. If I am having bad skin days, I tend to wash my brushes a bit more to disinfect them and not cause me to breakout more.

 

3. How long do you last with chipped nail varnish?

 

The longest I wear nail polish in general is a week. I like to change up the colors as much as possible so chipped nails isn't a big issue for me.

 

4. How often do you put off buying/replacing a beauty item or nail polish even if you need it?

 

I'm really good at replacing the things that I need. I love to try new products so most of the time I will buy a different product to try, unless I really love something.

 

5. What is your worst beauty habit?

 

I tend to touch my face alot. I'm always resting my head on my hand and have my hand on my cheeks. Also when I'm stressed I will rub my hands over my face. The germs are not good to my face.

 

6. Name something non-beauty related that you tend to put off all the time.

 

Cleaning my closet. I like to have everything separated by categories and colors, but that only lasts for about a week. Then it is a maze to find anything that I want and I tend to put it off until everything is just mixed and disorganized.

 

7. When going out somewhere do you leave getting ready until last minute or not?

 

I love taking my time to get ready. If I'm in a rush I don't feel as confident when I go out. I always make sure I plan enough time to get ready for any occasion.

 

8. Can you commit to spending bans?

 

I would like to say yes, but I think I would quickly give in if I saw something that I really wanted. I'm pretty good at managing my money, unless there is something that I really love.

 

9. How organized is you makeup and nail polish collection?

 

My makeup is very organized since it is something that I use almost daily. I want to make sure I can find everything that I need. My nail polish is all located in a little bin, but they are just kind of thrown in there.

 

10. What is the longest time you have gone without writing a blog post?

 

Because of school and exams I do tend to take a couple of days off from my blog to focus on homework and such. I would say a couple of days max. Anymore and I think I would go crazy haha!

7 interesting things about myself:

 

- I am the youngest and only girl of four children.

 

- I have been on the Dean's List every semester of my college education.

 

- I am a criminal justice major which is a surprise to most people that I meet. Since I am so shy and nice they seem to think that I am a health or education major.

 

- I am a complete and total football addict. (I am actually watching football while I write this post haha!)

 

- In 10th grade I became a National Champion in SkillsUSA for winning a gold metal in Tech-Prep Showcase.

 

- I have a thing for sticky notes. I am always writing notes and reminders and sticking them to everything. I have them all over my books, calendar and desk. They really come in handy for me since I tend to forget things really easily if I don't write them down.

 

- I suffer from severe anxiety and depression. I've always had it, but it didn't start to really interfere with my life until high school. I has continuously gotten worse, but I am much more driven to work through it and not let it control my life. I do get anxiety attacks frequently and it is difficult to share things with others, but I'm working on it.

The Autumn Tag

Hello Everyone!

 

I was tagged by the wonderful Liliana from Beauty with Lily to do this tag. Lily is an amazing blogger and one of the sweetest girls ever so be sure to go have a look over on her blog if you would like.

 

 

On to the questions:

 

Favorite thing about Autumn?

- My favorite thing about Fall has to be the colors. They are very warm and earth toned and I think those colors look beautiful on everyone. Another thing would have to be Football season. Sorry, I was raised by three brothers ha!

 

Favorite drink?

- I'm not a huge fan when it comes to hot drinks. I don't really know why but I always prefer a cold drink no matter the weather. Double Chocolate Chip from Starbucks or a Mocha Frappe from McDonald's are two of my favorites for the Fall time.

 

Fave Scent/Candle?

- I love love love the candle from Bath and Body Works that smells like leaves. It literally smells like Fall. If there could only be one scent to describe Fall, that would be it.

 

Best Lipstick?

- This may not be a surprise, but I love to wear deep red lipsticks during the Fall. I am currently loving the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 107. It is just a beautiful color and way out of my comfort zone, but I can't resist it.

 

Go to Moisturizer?

- This answer may be a bit boring but I don't have a specific moisturizer during the Fall. I use the Suave Vitamin E Body Lotion and I have for years. It extremely moisturizing and makes my skin feel super soft.

 

Fave Go-To Color for the eyes?

- This Fall I am really loving cranberry shades. I'm so used to just neutral colors but I really like the way this color looks on me. I love applying it all over the lid and applying a brown color in the outer corner to make a slightly smokey look.

 

Favorite Music/ Singer/ Band to Listen to?

- I listen to all types of music really but I have had Carrie Underwood's See You Again on repeat for weeks now. It is such a beautiful song and I can't seem to stop listening to it. I am also really excited for Eminem to release his new album in November!

 

Favorite Outfit to wear?

- The usual black leggings, cardigan and boots fall look. Scarves and beanies have also made their way into my closet recently.

 

Autumn Treat?

- This may shock everyone but I really don't enjoy pumpkin flavored things. I have never liked it so I don't have a specific treat besides Starbucks.

 

Favorite Place to be?

- I know I'm going to sound extremely lazy when I say that my favorite place to be during the Fall is in front of the television. It isn't because I'm lazy, but rather that I can't miss a football game. I love football as equal to or more than most men do which makes me sound really not girly haha! It is just something that I really love and something that I look forward to every season.

My answers to Leah's Questions:

 

1. Name your biggest inspiration.

My biggest inspiration would have to be my grandmother. She was an amazingly strong woman and I would love to have the same strength as her one day.

 

2. Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?

Hopefully, I will pursue my love for beauty and there are endless possibilities that can come from that. If I am unable to pursue this, I would like to be a lawyer and take the necessary steps to become a judge.

 

3. What's your favorite lipstick?

I always seem to go back to my Kate Moss lipstick in 107.

 

4. How did you start blogging?

I wanted a place where I could share my love for all things beauty, as well as some personal aspects of my life. I began blogging this summer and it was the best decision I have made so far.

 

5. What's your favorite hair product?

I could not live without my Garnier Fructis Style Sleek and Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk. It is a great product to handle frizzy hair.

 

6. Explain your signature style.

I would have to say girly and classy with a bit of an edgy side. I love wearing a floral print dress and add some combat boots to bring the outfit together.

 

7. Name one thing on your bucket list.

I would love to travel the world.

 

8. What is your favorite food?

I love pasta so much. That is mostly what I order when I go out to restaurants. I know, it's not healthy but there's not reason for me to lie ha!

 

9. Finish this sentence: I cannot leave the house without...

My phone. Mainly for emergency reasons.

 

10. Flats or heels?

I think it just depends on the occasion. Since I am a college student I am mostly in flats to walk around campus, but on special occasions I might breakout a pair of heels.

 

11. What's your favorite season?

Summer without a doubt!

 

My answers to Ahalya's Questions:

 

1. What is your favorite magazine?

I love SEVENTEEN Magazine. They have such great beauty sections and I love going through them and trying their tutorials.

 

2. What makeup brand do you use the most?

Currently I have been using loads of Sleek products. They have greatly pigmented eye shadows and blushers that I use them daily.

 

3. Favorite drugstore brand?

At the moment I have been loving me some Maybelline.

 

4. What is your favorite nail polish brand?

Essie. They are great quality nail polishes and a vast selection of shades.

 

5. Favorite place to visit?

I would love to visit London. I am in love with the beauty and history there.

 

6. If you could only choose one product from your makeup bag to use for a week away what would it be?

Definitely foundation. I'm very insecure and I need it to cover up anything I don't want seen.

 

7. What do you take most care of your skin or your hair?

My Skin! I have very naturally healthy hair so it doesn't need much care.

 

8. Favorite Shampoo and Conditioner?

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner.

 

9. Favorite Perfume?

This summer I have been loving a body mist from Victoria's Secret called PINK with a Splash (soft and dreamy).

 

10. Handbags or Shoes?

This is a tough one, but I tend to look for more shoes than handbags. I have a couple of handbags that go with everything and I love shoes.

 

11. A makeup advice/tip you believe in?

Practice makes perfect. Everyone starts somewhere. You're not gonna automatically know how to blend foundation or put darker colors in your crease. Don't give up and just keep trying and you will get better.

 

My answers to Katie's Questions:

 

1. If you could travel to any place in the world where would it be and why?

Like I said before I would love to visit London (or the U.K in general). They have such a wide selection of beauty products that aren't available here as well as clothing. Exploring products and fashion over there would be a dream come true.

 

2. Who is your style inspiration?

I would have to say Selena Gomez. She has a very girly yet elegant and put-together look. She has not disappointed me with one fashion choice.

 

3. What is your favorite thing about blogging?

I love meeting people that have the same passion for beauty as I do. I don't have any friends that enjoy beauty as much as I do and blogging has allowed me to interact with people who do.

 

4. If you could swap blogs for one day who would you swap with and what would you write about?

Honestly I don't believe I would swap with anyone. I believe my blog is a place where I can share all of my personal thoughts and opinions as well as everyone does on theirs. It's a very personal thing to me and I treasure it dearly.

 

5. Which beauty brand do you trust and repurchase the most?

I love trying new things and from a broad selection of brands, but I have really been loving Orgins products at the moment.

 

6. If you could go back and live in any decade, which would it be and why?

I love the 1950's. Looking up to women with curvy body shapes like Marilyn Monroe is amazing.

 

7. Would you say you are a trend setter or trend follower?

I have always just done my thing and worn what I felt comfortable in regardless of the latest trend.

 

8. If you could use only one beauty item for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Foundation or concealer. I cannot imagine living life having to show people my insecurities.

 

9. Name 3 beauty items you have been loving in 2013.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation, Maybelline Color Whispers and Real Techniques brushes.

 

10. What advice would you give to your younger self?

No matter how difficult things may seem, it will get better.

I am going to have to be completely honest and say: Optimistic ( I try to look for the best in people), Chill (I love being very mellow), and Insecure.

Here are my answers:

 

1. What is your dream vacation?

I would love to travel to the U.K. I would just love to shop over there and try out all of their products that aren't available here.

 

2. Which makeup look do you like the least?

Everyone has their own style and preferences so I wouldn't dislike their choices. For me I don't like wearing very bright colors on my eyes. I like to keep them very neutral and light.

 

3. If you could style one celebrity who would it be?

I would love to style Taylor Swift. I think we have very similar preferences of style and I love how classic yet cute she always looks.

 

4. What is your favorite hobby?

I love blogging. Although it is a hobby now, I would love to expand it to so much more. There are so many possibilities and I'm very excited to see where this goes.

 

5. What is your favorite store?

Forever 21 all the way. It is affordable and they have such a wide range of selection. They have some really great pieces if you look good enough :)

 

6. Are you a fan of nail-art?

I love to look at it lol. I have not patience or skill in that department. It takes to much time and I try to stay as far away from it as possible.

 

7. What is your favorite nail polish?

At the moment it is Ballet Slippers by Essie. It is a beautiful baby pink that looks amazing on tanned skin.

 

8. Which face wash do you use?

In the morning I will usually use Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. In the shower at night I like to cleanse with the Garnier Radiance Renewer Cleansing Gelee.

 

9. Favorite beauty tip?

Moisturize! I know everyone knows this, but it is such an important factor in having good healthy skin.

 

10. Least favorite hairstyle?

Again anyone has their own preference, but I don't like having my hair slicked back. It has never looked good on me and I refuse to do it in that manner lol.

 

11. Do you love blogging?

Of course I do.!This has been my escape from the shy life that I have. I can share all the things that I love with people that love the same things. It has helped me meet great people and learn a heck of a lot about myself.

Here are my answers:

 

1. Day without foundation or day without hairbrush?

I would say a day without a hairbrush. My hair is very straight and if I take care of it, it doesn't get tangled. I'm too insecure to go out without some facial coverage.

 

2. If you had €1000 what would you spend it on?

Well this might be obvious by what I do, but I would say makeup and clothing. I can never get enough and there is just so much stuff that I want to try :)

 

3. Twitter or Facebook?

Twitter! I only use Facebook to stay in contact with some family members. I love Twitter because it is just so quick and efficient.

 

4. If you could only listen to one singer/band who would it be?

At the moment I would have to say the Imagine Dragons. I never seem to get tired of their music and they're all different but connect at the same time. I love them!

 

5. Obsessions?

I am addicted to shopping. I'm such an impulse buyer it seriously is a problem. I will sometimes makeup a scenario just to explain a purchase. I'm horrible haha!

 

6. Favorite city in the world?

I don't really have an answer for this one. I haven't traveled much so I would know what to compare really. I really do love London though :)

 

7. Bracelets or Necklaces?

I've really been into necklaces lately. I used to be really shy with accessories, but I am expanding my style. I have a really small wrist so it is rather hard to find a bracelet that doesn't fall off.

 

8. Opinion on tattoos?

I don't mind tattoos. I would never get one, but only because I am terrified of needles (I cry every time I get a shot). Everyone is entitled to do as they please with their bodies. Your body is your temple and do with it as you please :)

 

9. Books or Movies?

I am a total nerd, so I would have to say books. Reading just makes a great escape from reality. I don't watch many movies unless someone forces me to.

 

10. Favorite school subject and why?

I really love English. It's the best way to express everything I want on a certain topic. It has always been the easiest subject for me since the words just flow onto the paper.

 

11. Any crazy habits?

I have a horrible habit of making lists. I forget things very easily so I feel like I have to write everything down. I have lists for anything, but the bad part is that sometimes I forget where I put the list lol!

Seven Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag

I thought this picture would be funny, but I just look lame (sorry).

1. GREED

What is your most expensive beauty product?

My most expensive beauty product was actually given to me, but it was the bareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 (warm tan) which is $27. I really want another one, but it is difficult to find around where I live.

What is your most inexpensive beauty product?

My most inexpensive beauty product I have is my wet n wild Coloricon Bronzer (Ticket to Brazil) which I paid around $2 for. CVS was having a buy one get one 50% off sale so that made it come out to really cheap, but absolutely love it and use it almost everyday!

2. WRATH

What beauty product do you have a love/hate relationship with?

I have a major love/hate relationship with liquid eyeliner! I love the way that it looks on my eyes and when I apply it correctly. When I apply it wrong, I hate it. It is impossible to fix if it goes wrong and there really is no going back with liquid eyeliner. You have to be precise or suffer the consequences of horrible eye makeup.

3. GLUTTONY

What is your most delicious beauty product?

At the moment I would have to say my Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107. I love red lipstick and I think that it goes perfectly with my skin. It is just a beautiful lipstick that you just want to eat (I would highly recommend not doing so unless that's your thing, then good luck).

4. SLOTH

What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?

I wouldn't say it is due to laziness, but I always forget to put on primer. It's just one of those things that I remember about when I'm half-way done with my makeup. Maybe it's the fact that I haven't found one that I completely love, but I just can't seem to put it at the top of my list on things I have to use.

5. PRIDE

What product gives you most confidence?

I'm very insecure when it comes to my skin due to my hyperpigmentation. I would have to say that concealer and foundation really help my confidence. I am able to hide what I am insecure about and be able to be a little less afraid of speaking to people face to face.

6. LUST

What product makes you feel most attractive?

I love me some red lipstick! I can't seem to have enough in my collection. I am trying to branch out into using different colors like coral and pinks, but red lipstick will always be my favorite no matter the time of year.

7. ENVY

What beauty product would you like most to receive as a gift?

Like I said before I would love to get another bareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 (warm tan). It was my favorite and I just love it. I have never tried any YSL lipsticks either so I think that would be a nifty gift as well :)

1. What is your dream job?

- My dream job would be to pursue my blogging and begin a YouTube channel. I'm rather shy and I haven't gotten enough courage to do that yet.

 

2. Favorite makeup brand?

At the moment, I would have to say that my favorite makeup brand is Sleek (shocker!)

 

3. Curly or Straight hair?

I have naturally very straight hair and sometimes I wish it was curly, but I love my hair the way it is :)

 

4. Who's blog do you visit the most?

I'm new to blogging, so I don't follow many people yet. One blog that I do read a lot is The Beauty Department.

 

5. If you had to give up face products, eye shadows, mascaras, or eyeliner. What would you give up?

I think that I would have to give up eye shadows. Mascara and eyeliner make my eyes look complete and face products help hide all the stuff I'm insecure about!

 

6. Favorite place in the world?

My favorite place in the world oddly enough, is a place I have never visited. Looking at pictures of London, I immediately fell in love with it. I only wish one day I will be able to experience it myself.

 

7. One thing you can't do but would like to.

Like I said before, I would love to start a YouTube channel. I am an extremely shy person and it took me a very long to even start blogging.

 

8. Fears?

I am terrified of cockroaches and ever since I can remember, I have been afraid to let people down. I always feel like people have expectations from me and I don't want to disappoint anyone.

 

9. One person in the world you would like to meet?

I would have to say Adele. She is just such an amazing singer that I would totally faint if I was even in the same room as her.

 

10. Fashion Icon?

I have my own sense of style but I really enjoy Selena Gomez's fashion. She is always so classy, but girly and cute :)

 

11. Where did your idea of blogging come from?

I wanted a way to share something I loved with people outside of circle. I don't have any friends that share this same passion as I do. Since I am really shy I couldn't just jump into the beauty world. I started this blog just to express what I love. I never expected anyone to read it, I just wanted to get my thought of products and beauty down. I am so glad that I started this blog :)
