Wet n Wild - Fergie Collection

Hello Everyone!

As most of you may know by now, Wet n Wild released the Fergie cosmetics collection. The range includes lipsticks to eyeshadows and everything in between. Since I already love Wet n Wild I decided to try a couple products from this collection and see how I liked them.

Wet n Wild - Fergie Collection

Photo Op Eyeshadow Palette - Desert Festival

Old School Glam

Fuchsianista

Left - Old School Glam
Right - Fuchsianista

Desert Festival

The Wet n Wild Fergie lipsticks are all a creme formula. There are ten different shades that range from nude to a blackish color. I opted for two colors that I normally wouldn't go for, but thought might look nice. Old School Glam is an dark orange shade while Fuchsianista is a fuchsia color with a hint of metallic blue/purple. These colors are absolutely beautiful. They are extremely pigmented and super creamy. They feel amazing on the lips due to the vitamins and minerals to keep lips soft, smooth, and kissable all day. What I love most about these lipsticks are long they last. They tend to lightly stain the lips and you only need one application to last most of the day. There is no taste or smell which I enjoy very much.

Price: $3.49

When it came to the eyeshadow palettes I went with the one that had more colors I would wear more often. These palettes are available in four different combinations of which I chose Desert Festival. In this palette there are two mattes, two shimmery and one shimmery/glitter shades. The lightest shade is a Cappuccino-Champagne shimmery color that I love so much all over the lid. Beside that one is a matte orange color that I haven't been brave enough to try just yet. Then there is a beautiful gold shimmery shade. Next to that one is a black shade with a hint of gold shimmer/sparkle. In the center of the palette is a matte dark brown shade for the outer "V" of your eyelid. These eyeshadows are super pigmented and creamy. They are easy to blend and don't crease or flake. They last such a long time and have a satin-smooth finish to them.

Price: $4.99

Overall I have very much enjoyed this collection and look forward to trying different colors and products.

Hope you enjoyed this review :)

Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray

Hello Everyone!

I am very lazy when it comes to my hair. I don't like to spend too much time styling it so sea salt sprays instantly became my best friends over the past year. Toni&Guy was a brand that I had be wanting to try for such a long time, but was unavailable in the U.S. When I stumbled across it at Target I knew exactly what product I wanted to try first.

Toni&Guy Casual

Sea Salt Texturising Spray

What really made me want to try this product was the texturising concept. I have very fine, very long hair. With it being so naturally straight, I need to use certain products so it doesn't look so flat and weighed down. This sea salt spray is part of Toni&Guy's Casual line.

The first thing about this product that I noticed was the smell. Most sea salt sprays that I have used have a weird smell that made me want to not use them anymore. The Toni&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray's smell is very pleasant and I love that my hair remains to smell like it throughout the day. If you are looking for a product that will instantly give you body and texture, then I highly recommend you going out and buying one of these. My hair looks so much more thicker and alive when I use this. I've always had a problem with my fine hair, but when I use this it appears as though I have alot more hair than I really do.

I love to use this on dry hair, but it can be used on damp hair as well. I will brush through my hair and then spray this on. Using my hands I will scrunch my hair to create the waves. To add extra volume I love to flip my hair over and then scrunch it. I will then finish off with a bit of hairspray all over to ensure that the waves last. Most people may not have to apply hairspray, but my hair tends to fall very quickly because of how straight it is. On lazy hair days (most days haha) I love spraying this all over for a quick and easy look. I'm really excited to try more Toni&Guy products and see what wonders they will do to my hair. Sea salts sprays aren't that inexpensive for drugstore products but are a great investment. You only need to spray a thin layer all over so this product does last a good amount of time if you are concerned about spending money on it.

Price: $14.99

Hope you enjoyed this post :)

Orgins VitaZing SPF 15 Energy-Boosting Moisturizer with Mangosteen

Hello Everyone!

In the past month I have tried a couple new products and have noticed a great improvement in my skin. This is one of the products that has helped with making my skin look better than it ever has.

Orgins VitaZing SPF 15 Energy-Boosting Moisturizer with Mangosteen.

This multi-tasking moisturizer handles the vital jobs of hydrating, energizing and protecting to maintain skin's momentum all day. Gives skin the refreshing zing of antioxidant-rich Mangosteen. And adds a healthy hit of radiance that mimics the glow you get from a week's vacation.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this moisturizer because of the tint. Most products that have a tint and claim to match every skin tone don't really live up to their claims. They tend to be too light and look unnatural on my face. If it hadn't been for the amazingly sweet representative at the Orgins counter, I probably wouldn't have purchased this. I tried this having no prior reviews from other people in mind. I can honestly say my skin hasn't looked this great in such a long time (I'm talking toddler days people!). This blends perfectly matching my skin tone and leaving my face hydrated and ready for makeup.

My face feels so energized after I apply this moisturizer in the morning. It adds a glow that I didn't have before and has transformed my skin from dull to radiant in the past month. I also believe this has helped with my hyperpigmentation and acne. I rarely have a blemish and my dark spots have dramatically diminished in color. A small amount of this goes a long way so I used a smaller than pea-sized amount to cover my whole face. This adds a nice dewy finish to my face without looking oily or greasy. This moisturizer also contains SPF 15 in it which is great to protect your skin from the sun. You will notice an improvement in your skin the first time that you use it. At $35 a tube this is a bit of a splurge, but since you only need a small amount it lasts you such a long time. I have used this everyday for over a month and am no where near the end of the tube.

Hope you enjoyed this review :)

September Favorites

Hello Everyone!

I must say that I wasn't quite prepared for this post. I thought September just started and it's already over. I have no idea why these months seem to be speeding by, but that only means we are getting closer to Christmas so I'm not really complaining.

These have been my holy grail items for the month of September and will probably help me get through the rest of the year as well. With the stress of college, I've relied on these products to help me not look as horrible as I feel.

1. Orgins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask - I have Normal to Combination skin. Now this mask is intended for people that have really dry skin, which isn't entirely my case. I have extremely dry areas around my nose and on my chin though. I decided to try this out since no other moisturizer seemed to work. Since using this, my skin has become so much better than it was. I guess I didn't realize how dehydrated my skin actually was.

2. VitaZing SPF 15 Energy Boosting Moisturizer with Mangosteen - I did not intend on buying this but the lady at Orgins was so incredibly sweet that I just bought it. This has a sheer tint release that matches the color of your skin perfectly. I love using this as a morning moisturizer because it makes a perfect base for makeup.

3. Rimmel Scandaleyes Long Wear Waterproof Eyeliner (Nude) - This past month I have been overwhelmed with school work so I haven't been able to get as much sleep as I would like. Using this in my waterline it instantly transforms my look. My eyes look brighter and it helps you look more awake.

4. Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies (#text me) - I have been waking up a little later than usual in the morning in order to get a little more sleep. This means that I haven't been taking too much time to do my makeup and have been using products that are really quick and easy to apply. I always have one of these in my backpack and will just put it on before I get to class and I have a nice splash of color on my lips.

5. e.l.f. Baked Eyeshadow (Burnt Plum) - I have been really loving plum on my eyes recently. Purple or similar colors look amazing on brown eyes and help enhance their appearance. These baked eyeshadows are really pigmented and really inexpensive.

6. Milani Baked Blush (Rose D' Oro) - Oro means gold in Spanish which is perfect to describe this color. It is a beautiful rose gold that can really be worn all year round. This may be a weird and useless comment, but Milani baked blushes smell really good (I smell every product). Milani Blushes look really lovely on all skin tones and are some of my favorite blushes. They are really pigmented and add a pretty glow to your checks.

7. Real Techniques Buffing Brush - This is the perfect brush to apply foundation. It easily blends it into the skin and makes it look flawless. This is good for all types of foundations and it works very quickly. I love all of these brushes as they are great quality and really inexpensive.

Hope you enjoyed this post :)

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous

Hello Everyone!

After a while of refusing to give into the hype of this product, I finally gave in. The only reason why I didn't want to try this foundation was because I already have so many others that I love and use. For some odd reason I thought I would just try this out and see what everyone was talking about.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

Covergirl claims that it has: Lasting power of a primer, coverage of a concealer, and blendalbility of a foundation in one. Shine free.

Because my skin is slightly acne prone I find it difficult to find primers that will not cause minor breakouts. There's also an issue with my skin tone. I've been told many times before that it is rather unique and at times is difficult to color match. Taking these factors into consideration, I picked up the color 855 in Soft Honey and it seems to match my skin tone pretty closely. I can honestly say that I completely understand what all the hype was about this foundation.

This foundation really helps to smooth out any lines that I have on my face and makes my pores look less visible (and I have really big pores around my nose area). This foundation also helps to protect my skin from the sun since it has SPF 20 in it. This is a great cover for my hyperpigmentation that I have which tends to be really dark and diffult to conceal. It is very easy to blend and to work with. One pump is all that you need because a little goes a long way with this foundation. The coverage is medium with about half a pump, but can very easily be made into full coverage with a whole pump.

The packaging is great since it is glass and has a pump like I have already mentioned before. Because of the primer in the foundation you can confidently wear this all day without fear of it wearing off. For under $10 at most drugstores you can get an amazing foundation that is worth all the hype that it is getting.

Hope you enjoyed this post :)
Is there anything that you would like me to review?

5 under $5 - September

Hello Everyone!

As you might have noticed by now, I am a huge drugstore makeup fan. In the past couple of years drugstore brands have really stepped up their game with their products, giving higher-end products a run for their money. You might be surprised at some of the amazing products that you can get for a little amount of money.

Since I am always buying drugstore makeup to try, I figured I would do the 5 products under 5 dollars once a month. New products are constantly being released and this is a great way for me to show you some of my favorites.

September 5 under $5 Favorites

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trio - Enlisting for Beauty

Shocker to see a neutral palette I know haha! I have been completely loving Enlisting for Beauty this month. This is part of the new Tough Girl collection from Wet n Wild. Now for most trios I wouldn't use all the colors together since they wouldn't look very nice, however I love using all of these colors together. Wet n Wild eyeshadows have some amazing eyeshadows. They are really pigmented and are not chalky what so ever. They are just a great quality for a great price. This trio is available at Walgreens for $2.99, but I picked it up on sale for just $2. These are simply a bargain that you should definitely give a try.

Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain - Cranberry Crush

I won't go into so much detail since I have already done a review here, but I will say that this particular color is great for Fall. This is the color Cranberry Crush. The darker colors of this collection tend to stain the lips a bit more than the lighter colors, which is similar for most balm stains. This is available at Walgreens for $2.99.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder - Transparent

This product may not be a surprise to you since it has been mentioned pretty much everywhere, but it is simply a great product. The Stay Matte powder is available in a selection of shades, but I much prefer to get the Transparent one. This is a great product to just throw in your makeup bag or handbag and take on the go. It is the perfect touch up powder to help eliminate shine. This is available at most drugstores for $3.97.

NYX Blush - Mocha

Oh my goodness you guys, NYX is available at Target! I couldn't believe my dark brown eyes when I first saw the brand at the store and I almost had a heart attack. I may have went a little wild, but the closest store next to me that sold NYX was over an hour away from where I live so I was really excited. Anyways, this is one of their blushes in Mocha. It is a matte pinky, neutral color and is beautiful for everyday use regardless of the season. This is available at Target for $4.99.

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder - Sunny

This is another product that has been well talked about in the beauty community. It is a matte bronzer which is very difficult to find in the drugstore and anywhere in general. It gives you the perfect glow and doesn't go overboard with bronzing. By just sweeping this on the temples and cheeks it really completes a look and adds definition to your face. This is available in most drugstores for $3.49.

Top 3 (very top color is very similar to my skin tone sorry!): Enlisting for Beauty
4th: Cranberry Crush
5th: Mocha
6th: Sunny
Powder was transparent so I couldn't really take a picture of that haha!

Hope you enjoyed this post :)

Jordana Twist & Shine

Hello Everyone!
I don't know about everyone else but the weather in South Texas has been very unusual. It has been raining every single day for the past two weeks here. Seeing as though we can go months without even a drop of rain, it is kind of weird having to deal with this weather. I do however love the fact that is starting to feel like Fall.
Because we have started taking exams and such in my classes, I have been really loving quick and easy makeup to just quickly get ready and make the 30 minute drive to school. I also love my sleep and if applying certain makeup in the morning will save me time getting ready and will give me more time to sleep I am all for it. Also since I have to walk in the rain and in mud to get from the parking lot to my classes there really is no point in spending such a long time on makeup, so I have been using balm stains more frequently than lipstick.
Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stains

06 Cranberry Crush

05 Honey Love

Left: Cranberry Crush
Right: Honey Love

During the Fall season, I like to darken my makeup just a tad bit when it comes to my lips, cheeks and eyes. These lovely Balm Stains are new to Jordana along with a few other products. Now I know that there are many different drugstore brands that sell balm stains or similar products like these, but I must say that these have to be some of my favorites. These balm stains do not dry out my lips like other balm stains tend to do after wearing them a while. They are extremely moisturizing and just glide onto the lips with ease. I have also found that these seem to be a bit more pigmented that other balm stains that are extremely shear.

Cranberry Crush is a perfect Fall lip color. Honey Love is more of a nude-ish color which I also really enjoy. The smell is a bit weird (not minty like most others), but does not stay long and they also don't have a taste to them. The best thing by far is the price of these balm stains. These can be found in Walgreens for $2.99! Seriously this is an amazing bargain that you cannot pass up. The balm stains come in a variety of colors from pinks to reds to nudes. I have been enjoying these very much and look forward to trying the other colors.

Hope you enjoyed this post :)

L'Oreal Le Matte & La Laque

Hello Everyone!

A couple of weeks ago I went to Target with the intention of buying one specific product. If you live in the U.S and have ever been to Target, you know that that drugstore has magical powers. It makes you buy anything that you might not exactly need or want, but have to have. Lets just say that a basket full of beauty products later I didn't end up finding what I went to Target for in the first place.

I did end up buying loads of amazing products that I will be writing about soon so keep an eye out for those!

L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche La Laque and Le Matte Full Coverage Lipcolours

Le Matte - 404 Matte-r of Fact

La Laque - 411 Never Lacque-ing

Left - La Laque
Right - Le Matte

I was on the search for deeper colors to wear on my lips for the Fall and Winter seasons that are coming up. Since I hadn't heard much about these particular products I thought I would give them a go and see what I thought of them.

The first that I fell in love with was the Le Matte in Matte-r of Fact. Now I cannot go through this post without mentioning how adorable the name is. It is super cute and I can't help but like products that have names like this. The shade is a rather deep red which I quite enjoy. Like the name says this particular shade is matte. This lipcoulor is super pigmented to the point where you have to be careful when applying it. It isn't particularly a lipstick but rather similar. Being that it is matte I was expecting that it would dry out my lips, but it did not. Also the wear of this shade is amazing. You do not need to be constantly touching it up and can feel secure that it will stay on the lips.

The next shade Never Laque-ing is part of the La Laque collection, again I love the name. Now I normally would never buy a lip product in this shade because I felt that it wouldn't go right with my skin tone, however I just thought "What the heck" and bought it anyways. I must say that I really enjoy this shade and lipcolour. It is super creamy on the lips and gives a hint of shine without having the severe lip gloss effect. This product is also super pigmented so a little goes a long way with this bad boy (or girl ha!). I think that this shade would go beautiful on people who have tanned skin but are afraid that some light pinks will look a little weird on them, trust me it doesn't.

I'm not too sure if it is just the drugstores near me, but I have only been able to find these lipcolours in Target. They are available in a couple of shades in either Le Matte or La Laque. They are around $7.99 and totally worth it.

Hope you enjoyed this review :)

Color Tattoo Metal Collection

Hello Everyone!

I would like to start of by apologizing for the lack of blogging I have done this week. This was a rather hectic week for me since I had a lot going on at the same time. Some of you may know but I started my second year of University this week. Between trying to adjust my schedule for classes, trying not to get lost on campus, dealing with horrible weather and did I mention trying not to get lost, I didn't really have time to blog. However now that my first week is over I am much more comfortable in my classes and can restart my blogging as usual!

Another reason behind my lack of blogging was my anxiety. It has been much worse this past month or so and I am not too sure why. Dealing with all that I had to deal with plus my anxiety was rather difficult, but I am getting through it.

Well, let's get started!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal 24 hr Eyeshadows

Metal Collection

Left: Barely Branded (70)
Right: Inked in Pink (55)

Freckles on my hand LOL

I have already done a review on Maybelline's Color Tattoos here, but they recently released the Metal Collection which offered some new colors that I very much enjoyed. Since I like very neutral colors on my eyes, I only bought two of the new original Color Tattoos. In the Metal Collection I fell in love with these two new colors. Barely Branded (70) is a beautiful champagne color and Inked in Pink (55) is a pretty pink color (shocker haha!). I love using these two as bases for my eye and they really make my eye makeup look so much better. When I use Barely Branded I will either apply it all over my lid and then apply a very neutral color like Toast from Sleek on top, or I will use it in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them. I love using Inked in Pink on lazy days when I just want a quick splash of color on my lids and just apply it all over.

The quality of these cream shadows is UHHMAZING! They stay on my lids all day and I don't have to worry about touching them up throughout the day. The packaging is perfect since the clear jar allows you to see what color you are getting and they are small enough to just throw in your handbag to take on the go. The price is very reasonable for the quality that you get from these products. They are around $6 and can be found in most drugstores.

Hope you enjoyed this post :)
Have you tried the Metal Collection?

Orange Attitude

Hello Everyone!

As many, if not most of you know, it is back to school season. I honestly have no clue where this summer has gone, but I'm excited to see what the rest of the year has to bring.

Now I am aware that many people may not particularly like to wear lipstick. Since it is back to school season, I thought I would share one of my favorite products for people who are in school, or want a lip product that isn't a lipstick.

Maybelline New York's Color Whispers were a must have for me this Summer. The quality of these lip products are truly awesome. They feel amazing on the lips and are a great product just to throw in your handbag or backpack and take with you for a day out. They are perfect to just whip put and throw on a splash of color on the lips. You don't really need to apply a moisturizer before applying because it feels like a moisturizer in itself. Unlike the Lip Butters (which I love just as much), these Color Whispers are slightly more pigmented. The Color Whispers do have a slight smell, but it isn't a bad smell and doesn't last very long. They also don't have much of a taste which is a problem that I have had with other lip products.

Like some of you may know, I decided that I would try to expand my lip color selection outside of my usual red or nude lip. This was a great way for me to experiment with new colors without feeling overpowered by them. If you are a student and aren't allowed to wear much makeup, or just want some color on your lips but nothing too strong, these are perfect for you. Orange Attitude is so far my favorite of the bunch and I use it regularly. Now don't be scared when you first open the tube and see this neon color. Once you apply it to the lips, they sheer out and make your lips look/feel beautiful. I purchased this Color Whisper in Walmart for $5.94.

Hope you enjoyed this post :)
Have a great semester!

Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pots

Hello Everyone!

Covergirl recently released their Flamed Out Collection consisting of shadow pots, mascara and shadow pencils.

 Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pot

355 Scorching Cocoa

330 Melted Caramel

Color of the shadow pots when used wet.
(Cool plant in the background haha)

These are the Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pots. I decided to play it safe and try some neutral colors because they really did look beautiful. I really enjoy the packaging of the shadow pots. The clear lid allows you to see the color that you are picking. They are compact and easy to throw in your makeup bag to take on the go. Now there have been some mixed reviews when it comes to these shadow pots, but I really like them. They have beautiful color payoff and durability. The shimmer isn't overpowering and they blend amazingly. They are available in 12 different shades and the darker ones are really lovely. Shade 355 is a deep, rich bronze and shade 330 is a golden bronze.

One problem that I have seen is that they do have a slight fall out, but there are simple ways to take care of this. My favorite thing to do is to use them wet. Not only does this help take care of the fall out, but it helps to intensify the color like in the picture above. You can also use a sticky or cream base in order to help it stay on the lid. Lastly, you can do your eyes before you apply foundation. You can quickly clean up the mess and the problem is solved. (Tip: Tap the brush to help get the loose eye shadow off the brush). For $3.94 at Walmart, these really are great shadow pots.

Hope you enjoyed this review :)
Big thank you for my 81 followers! It means the world to me to have you all enjoy what I love to do.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers

Hello Everyone!

I have had my eye on these babies for such a long time, but they only recently became available in the U.S. More popularly know by their U.K. name the "Apocalips," these lip lacquers have taken over the beauty world.

600 Nude Eclipse

500 Luna

501 Stellar

303 Apocaliptic

400 Big Bang

Rimmel has really set the new standard when it comes to lip products. The Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers are unlike anything I have ever tried before. The best way to describe them is by saying that they work as a liquid lipstick. They are extremely pigmented, which is why the application must be precise. You do need a mirror to apply these lip lacquers if you don't want to go out looking like Miranda Sings ( Even though she totally works that look!). A small amount goes a long way with these babies. The most unique thing about this lip lacquer is the applicator. Unlike lip gloss applicators, these have a small indention in the middle. When you take the top out of the tube some of the product is left in the indention allowing for the perfect amount to put all over your lips!

The quality of these lip lacquers are amazing. They stay on the lips for a great amount of time. While the gloss does fade away, the color itself will not. They don't have a taste and only have a minimal smell that goes away rather quickly. I selected these five beautiful colors to add to my lip collection: Nude Eclipse (shockingly a nude color ha!), Luna (a nudish orange), Stellar (a bright coral), Apocaliptic (a bright pink), and Big Bang (a bright red). Unlike in the U.K, these lip lacquers aren't available everywhere just yet. At the moment they are only available in Walgreens for the amazing price of $4.99 (what a bargain!). However, the U.S. has created more shades to make up for the inconvenience :)

Hope you enjoyed this post :)
Let me know if you have tried these in the comments!
